aespa (에스파), stylized as æspa, is a 4 member South Korean girl group under SM Entertainment. The group consists of Karina, Giselle, Winter and NingNing. Debuted on November 17, 2020 with the song “Black Mamba“.
Why are are we called æspa?
Our name comes from combining ‘æ’ derived from ‘Avatar X Experience’ & ‘aspect’. The meaning behind the name is various innovative activities to come with the theme of ‘Experiencing a new world via the encounter of the ‘avatar’, your other self’.
Our fans called: MY
it is the word that's used as the maning of 'The Most Precious Friend' in KWANGYA where our avatar ase lives. Because fans are the most precious one for us, aespa, we named our official fan club ad 'MY'.
